My latest review, commissioned by the LRB two years ago but not yet appeared there – so I’ve let Robin Ramsay have it for Lobster Magazine. (For those who don’t know it, Lobster – biennial, internet only, free – is excellent reading for serious Lefties.)

    My impression is that the LRB is not publishing as many actual book reviews as it once did. In my most recent issue, 17 August, 2017, only six of the twenty pieces are reviews. In comparison, a randomly chosen edition of 3 November 2011 contains eleven reviews out of sixteen items. No wonder there is no room for the ‘The Secret War’.
