In Europe Anarchism was (and is?) usually associated with the political Left. In the modern USA, however, it is definitely a thing of the Right. Unfettered free market capitalism is an essentially anarchist ideology, whether free market capitalists want to describe themselves as ‘anarchists’ or not. It often goes under the name of ‘libertarianism’, or other titles incorporating the contentious word ‘liberty’.
